In the meantime though, we wanted to share something a little fun, and very important. Yes, we did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Yes, I know that your feeds have been full of these videos! I also know that pouring water over your head doesn't solve anything. But here's something you may not know:
ALS attacks a victim's nervous system, rendering them unable to move over time.
90% of ALS victims have no history of the disease in their family.
The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with ALS is only 2-5 years.
We don't know enough about the disease to find a cure yet, and the research isn't profitable enough for pharmaceutical companies to take it on. That's why viral campaigns like the Ice Bucket Challenge are so important. That's why we donated $100 and are using our little chunk of the internet to encourage you to do the same.
So here you have it, our SUPER AWKWARD video debut for a great cause! Because if saving lives means being silly and annoying, that's exactly what we're going to do.
I think it's absolutely great of you not only to do the challenge but also to donate! Most people only pour a bucket of ice over their head and call it a day. I honestly respect you a lot! :)

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! The whole campaign is gettin fb a lot of hate, but I think anything that supports such an amazing cause is ALWAYS a good idea!
