What is it about camping that brings out the flannel in a girl? This outfit was easy and effortless, and so quintessentially "camping" that I felt right at home collecting kindling for the fire while Skyla snapped photos. A bit obvious? Sure, but it's a rare opportunity to wear buffalo checks and army green in the summer, and this was it. Sorry/Not sorry about my sandals, guys. They've been in almost every OOTD I've done because they're perfect. I literally wear them everyday. To do anything else for the photos would just be dishonest!
Speaking of dishonest, I have a little blogger confession for you - and I'd love to hear some input from our fellow fashion blogger friends. No, I haven't been lying to you, but there is something I think you should know...
The truth is: I've never seen myself as a very fashionable person. I know, it's counterintuitive for a (primarily) fashion blogger to not possess some innate sense of spectacular style. And maybe I do have a personal style that's just constantly evolving. But fashion has always been a bit of a struggle for me. I never seem to own the things that I want to wear. But having this blog and being inspired to think about my style every week has already helped me gain confidence in it and myself. Now if only my wallet could keep up...

This is the perfect outfit for camping :) I think my style is just very simple and I tend to buy stuff that's cheap, so I'm never wearing expensive things... thrifty is a style right? :P

I tend to struggle with being "fashionable" too because I end up not liking most trends I buy into. Personal style and being comfortable in your skin and in what you wear is far more important than following any trends. I like both of your styles a lot!
