Meet the Boyfriends: Tony

Last week we introduced you to Lindsay's boyfriend, Ben, and now it's Skyla's turn! We're handing the blog over to her boyfriend, Tony, so he can tell you a little bit about how they met (warning: it's sickeningly sweet!) Enjoy!

Hello! I’m Skyla’s boyfriend of 2 years, Tony. I'm really excited to introduce myself to you, the readers of this blog that Lindsay and Skyla work tirelessly to entertain you with. Now, where should I start?

I'm 24 and a recent graduate. I've lived in Kent for 5 years but recently moved into a cozy little apartment with Skyla, Ziggy and Olivia. I would probably miss Kent if I didn’t work there five days a week as a cab driver (LOL). I, like Ben, am also a musician. I play drums in a band called Cherry Cola Champions with my best friend, Jesse.

Some things I like to do for fun include bowling, pinball, playing video games, making fun of Ziggy and doing karaoke at the Matinee in Highland Square. I like a variety of foods but gosh darn it if I told you a rueben sandwich isn’t my favorite! I am also an Adidas enthusiast.

I sound like a real catch, don’t I? Well let me share with you a brief tale of how my wonderful Skyla caught me. Rewind about 27 months ago. At this time, probably on a Monday night, you could see me and a group of friends, including Skyla, having a blast at our local bowling alley. This gathering was the result of a group Skyla created known as the Finer Things Club (which later inexplicably morphed into the Bowling Club through no fault of her own.) Anyway, throughout the course of this bowling club, she and I started becoming closer, hanging out together whenever we could; going to shows and movies together, eating pizza or just sitting on my couch watching Adventure Time for hours on end.

This was all well and good, but I was discouraged by the fact that Skyla was looking into possibly attending grad schools out of state. In my mind, I thought, “Well, if she moves away (which would be very sad) at least we became friends.” I didn't want to start a long-distance relationship.  But then Skyla didn’t move! This news changed everything. I immediately went to Skyla and told her my intentions. “I want to hold your hand and stuff,” is what I said. So that’s what we did, and we’ve been happily holding hands since August of 2012.

Anyway, it was so nice to meet you. Keep reading and enjoying the girls’ blog! They work really hard on it and they do it for you!
